Layered red, white, and blue gelatin cups with condensed milk and whipped cream — a festive alcohol-free treat.
# What You'll Need:
→ Red layer
01 - 1 (3 oz) box strawberry or cherry flavored gelatin
02 - 1 cup boiling water
03 - 1/2 cup cold water
→ White layer
04 - 1 (3 oz) box unflavored gelatin
05 - 1 cup sweetened condensed milk
06 - 1 cup boiling water
→ Blue layer
07 - 1 (3 oz) box blue raspberry flavored gelatin
08 - 1 cup boiling water
09 - 1/2 cup cold water
→ Garnish (optional)
10 - Whipped cream
11 - Red, white and blue sprinkles
# How To Make It:
01 - In a heatproof bowl, pour 1 cup boiling water over the strawberry or cherry gelatin and stir until completely dissolved. Stir in 1/2 cup cold water to cool slightly.
02 - Using a tablespoon or small ladle, dispense about 1 tablespoon of the red mixture into each two-ounce shot cup. Arrange cups on a tray and refrigerate for 1 hour, or until firm.
03 - Combine the unflavored gelatin with 1 cup boiling water and whisk until dissolved. Add the sweetened condensed milk and stir until smooth. Allow the mixture to cool to room temperature so it will not melt the set red layer.
04 - When the red layer is set, gently pour approximately 1 tablespoon of the cooled white mixture over each red layer, taking care not to disturb it. Return the tray to the refrigerator and chill for 1 hour, until the white layer is set.
05 - In a clean bowl, dissolve the blue raspberry gelatin in 1 cup boiling water, stirring until fully dissolved. Add 1/2 cup cold water and stir to combine.
06 - Pour about 1 tablespoon of the blue mixture over each set white layer. Refrigerate for at least 1 hour, or until the blue layer is fully firm.
07 - Just before serving, top each shot with a small dollop of whipped cream and a sprinkle of red, white and blue sprinkles if desired.
